We could not be more happy with the experience we’ve had with Laurie Flayhart and Silkspun Goldens.  Laurie bred our “smooth as silk” Golden Retriever, affectionately known as “Butter”, over 5 years ago.  Butter is healthy, handsome and has such a sweet disposition.  We love how much attention he gets every time we take him out in public because of his good looks and friendly personality.  Butter lives to please and is a constant companion by our side.  He is a cuddler and can’t get enough of playing catch.  We love that Butter knows when to be playful and when to relax.  The temperament testing Laurie did with him after he was born was spot on and really helped us choose the puppy that was perfect for us.  Laurie has been such a great resource from the earliest stages of our dog search and still is today.  Whether providing knowledgeable information about grooming and training, she is always just a phone call away.  One of the main things that attracted us to Laurie was her reputation for responsible breeding and dedication to “doing it right.”  And that has absolutely been our experience with her.  We give Silkspun Goldens and Laurie Flayhart our highest recommendation.

We have absolutely adored Poppy. She is the sweetest, smartest, and funniest dog. She is personality plus and loves socks! Everyday she finds a sock or 4:)
Laurie has been wonderful. We have never had a breeder truly care about her babies like Laurie has. I love the fact that she follows up with the owners and makes sure everything is going ok!
Poppy is smart and kind and a wonderful addition to our family. I have 2 daughters in middle school and  most everyone in their grades knows and loves Poppy. I have another English golden that is 4 and the only thing better than 1 golden is 2.

** UPDATE:  Murphy passed away January 2019 at 12 1/2 years of age.  I will always hold a special part of my heart for him as he was born at 5 oz and struggled to suckle so needed lot’s of extra help to survive.  Turns out…it was worth every sleepless night as he brought so much love and comfort and joy to his special family!   Goodbye sweet Murphy–you join Momma Silk at the bridge and will run and  hunt together forever!
